There are two things I loved about the Gucci Resort 2015 collection…the jackets and the accessories. Perhaps, this is because those are the two things I have been zeroing in on these days. Fortunately, there are lots of options in this collection which feels heavily influenced by the 1960’s Jackie Kennedy classic Gucci style.
The streamlined jackets, from a neutral snake print to pastel pea coats, anchor many of the looks and would easily tie in nicely and update most women’s wardrobe. The retro-vibe, a continuation of the Fall 2015 collection, is felt but doesn’t necessarily dictate the items as separates.
As for the accessories, I wasn’t excited about the shoes, but I thought the handbags, scarves and sunglasses made a statement for a clean, non-fussy look. The lightly tinted, heavy framed sunglasses have a freshness to them even though the shapes are classic. And the bandana scarf offers a more tailored way to wrap at the neck than we’ve seen in seasons past. The handbags in particular, with structured lines and details coming from the subtlety of contrast stitching or a simple touch of signature bamboo, might be the best
