I have a bit of a soft spot for camel coats. They work with denim, black, grey and white…pretty much the colors I live in. It’s also a nice relief in the fall and winter from all the dark colors we’re wearing. I used to think camel was a color better suited for blondes but I’ve changed my mind. I think it works on almost everyone depending on what your wearing with it…adding a red lip doesn’t hurt either.

Hello!
I love these photos and also have a love of camel coats. I have a vintage classic style in cashmere and a long version in actual camel hair also vintage that come out every year and I never get tired of them.

Lucky you! They sound beautiful and I can’t imagine getting tired of them either. They’ll never go out of style!

Hi there–thanks for sharing these pretty coats! I’ve been desperately trying to track down the source of a few of these images. Unfortunately, by crediting Tumblr or Pinterest, you’re not actually crediting the source. Food for thought for future posts! Here’s a post I did about the topic… (http://www.longdistanceloving.net/2012/09/cleanupyourpinterest.html) xoxo {av}

Thanks for the link on crediting the source. I am familiar with the method but sometimes it just keeps linking back to other pinterest sources and it is impossible to find the original. It would be great if you could search the source by original date posted. That would save a lot of time!
Thanks for commenting!

Long live camel— I am 66 — I had a camel wrap coat when I was 4 years old in Berlin, Germany and have the big girl version today. Camel coats and cashmere sweaters are wardrobe staples.
