I keep going back to the Valentino Spring 2014 collection as inspiration for looks that will update and modernize classic pieces I already own. This shot sums up what I’m focusing on…not necessarily worn together, but great items to wear now and next fall. The short sleeve boxy top is a shape I’ve mentioned before that adds a polished look to anything it’s worn with. We’ll see this repeated in the fall layered over slim knits, so it’s an item worth considering. Fringe accents, on everything from shoes and bags to jackets and dresses, add a bit of bohemian luxe and look great when worn in small doses. Green is a color popping up everywhere in the fall collections mixed with camel, grey, black, and navy. I’m fond of it mixed with denim above, another trend that will always be in style, but looks especially fresh on this long skirt. The entire Valentino collection was worn with flat sandals, no matter if paired with long or short dresses, cropped pants or shorts, they always looked right and added a bit of nonchalance chic. And lastly, bold gold accents on jewelry, shoes and bags are the final touch to finish off any look.

Great post. I agree on all these trends you’ve seen.
