I’m loving the grown up looks from Christopher Bailey‘s Resort 2015 collection for Burberry Prorsum. Grown-up in that not a single hem-line graced above the knee, which I think looks so much more elegant and fashion forward. Far from feeling stuffy though, the collection has a hand-made, vintage feel with dip-dyed lace, flowing gauze, and petal pieced fabric attracting a broad audience of young and old, conservative and modern. It’s the best of both worlds to appeal to all ages and Bailey does this beautifully. Balancing out the detailed work and keeping things simple, every look was paired with a clean, t-strap, wedge sandal in beige or black. Never steering too far from what Burberry is recognized for globally, the trench is reincarnated in fabrics that are far from predictable and incredibly chic. The coats and dresses are show stoppers and well deserved stars of the collection.

I had seen a few of these pieces and have, so far, been in love with every one of them! I’m pretty young, but always prefer a skirt just below the knee. Knees aren’t that pretty anyway- hah!
