Sometimes its hard to shake the rules of fashion that have been ingrained in our minds…like wearing white after Labor Day. Personally, I threw this rule out ages ago, and perhaps it is easier to do when you live in a year round temperate climate like California. I keep my white jeans handy but make the effort to transition their look so they don’t feel too summery. As long as the overall look takes a step forward with fall colors, textures and silhouettes, I feel like I’m on the right track.
One of my favorite combinations is white with camel or grey (or both). Soft neutrals like these have the right effect against crisp white. Later, when the temperature dips, adding layers in the same tones, like ©Garance Doré above, keeps you warm and looks chic.

Absolutely perfect looks! I’ve re-discovered white in a big way over the Summer and want to hang on to it for as long as possible (but it’s touch and go since I’m in UK!). I’m wearing pale jeans today with a cream vintage silk blouse and tan wool knit cardigan jacket and it feels so right :-)
I think Garance looks especially chic and beautiful in that photo.
