The soft makeup done by Pat McGrath for the Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2014 shows would be a beautiful look to try this season. A defined sweep of eyeliner creating a retro glam cat eye mixes beautifully with flushed, pale pink cheeks and dewey lips. An easy, loose ponytail or bun completes the look.

Really pretty! Now how about a photo of this look on somebody older than 14? Say, 40+? (not blaming you, blaming the fashion industry!)
Are there any instructional videos on looks like this for real-world women that you recommend? So far I have discovered Lisa Eldridge’s makeup videos – a couple she has done are applicable to my life as someone who has reached her 50s, especially the one she did on a mature model called Yvonne

and another that, despite the title, is really just a lovely soft look similar to the look you feature above:

Your photos are always so inspiring!

Thanks for the links to those two videos. I am always mesmerized by Lisa Eldridge’s transformations. She is so good and really pleasant to watch and listen to.
I’m sure she could do this look (above) beautifully on a more mature face. Even though the photo is of a young model, the look is an inspiration that I think would translate well to any age.
