My focus the last few weeks has turned to interiors. I’m working on two separate design projects. One is a 1500sf contemporary office design that is currently gutted and the other is helping a friend conceptualize a bedroom makeover. Their design aesthetics are completely opposite and I’ve had to really focus my radar on the two specific looks.
I’m so in love with the color palette for the bedroom project. It’s the inspiration and starting point to pull everything together. Soft chalky hues with white, dusty grey and faded smokey blue offer an inviting, serene palette. The odd touch of muted rose or pale apricot as a small accent add depth and interest. Various shades of white walls are always an attractive choice and I’m a die-hard fan of pure white linens. A couple stunning pieces of furniture, perhaps contemporary lamps and a single statement work of art will be the special pieces I’ll have to hunt down.
The following photos from my Pinterest board HOME:BEDROOMS. are what’s looking good to me now. As much as I love my current bedroom, this palette is enticing me to incorporate some of the hues myself.
