I think I’ve seen the Céline ballet pump in more spring editorials than any other shoe. They look as comfortable as a slipper and have a quirky edge with a substantial block heel. The Céline have long sold out, as well as most of Maryam Nassir Zadeh‘s Roberta Heel (above in suede), but Lanvin is reintroducing their classic ballet pump in more colors and textures, so that’s an option. But what makes the Céline pair unique and of the moment is the high elastic vamp. Martiniano (top right) released a heeled version of their signature glove slipper in tan, black, brown and my favorite, white. And there’s always Repetto, a long standing classic for flat ballets with their leather wrapped heel on the Camille.
