Even though we don’t have drastic changes in weather here, I still feel the need to adjust some of my skin care products to prevent dryness and work towards a healthy glow. Some of these replace my standard line up while others are used in addition. I’ve included a couple of cosmetic items too that are some of my everyday essentials for a natural looking face when running out the door.
- I wash my face three times a day, when I wake up, after working out and before bed. I look at it as an opportunity to not only cleanse but also feed/hydrate my skin. I’ve read so many reviews about the award-winning Eve Lom Cleanser, I decided to give it a try. The thick consistency cleanses without stripping or drying and feels so nourishing I look forward to washing my face before bed. Designed to be used with an accompanying muslin cloth to exfoliate and improve circulation.
- SkinMedica TNS Essential Serum is my year-round, tried and true serum. I haven’t found anything I like more. Award-winning and highly recommended by dermatologists, the rejuvenating anti-aging properties improves tone, wrinkles, texture and pores. Several friends with beautiful skin use it too.
- I just recently switched my eye creams. Although moisturizing, I wanted something that did more, or at least claim to. I like that there is a mild retinol in the Verso Super Eye Serum which addresses collagen production and amino acids that diminish dark circles. It feels nice on too.
- My standard sunscreen year-round. EltaMD is the only sunscreen that truly doesn’t feel like I have anything on. I use the untinted UV Clear most days and tinted when I want more coverage. There are two versions of the product – UV Clear for sensitive skin prone to break outs and UV Daily with hyaluronic acid to boost hydration.
- My new obsession. I just gifted some girl friends with Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist. It works as a spray on moisturizer to use under or over makeup anytime of the day. My skin feels hydrated and refreshed with just a couple of mists and it leaves a subtle glow. It’s one of Tatcha’s best sellers.
- Guerlain Bronzing Powder is another product I use year round. I don’t go out the door without at least a quick swipe of this on my cheeks and forehead. I think it makes me look awake, healthy and sometimes is all I need. And unlike many powders, it’s non-drying.
- For coverage under my eyes, I like Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Éclat , the gold standard of the concealer pens. It’s moist and reflects light so you never get that cakey concealer look. Also works beautifully on brow bone, under nose and the dark hollows in the eye area.
- For the ultimate in radiant looking skin, RMS Living Luminizer is the product just about every beauty editor and makeup artist swear by. It’s creamy and very sheer and best of all, has no sparkle. It layers beautifully over or under other products too.
- I just added the BeautyBlender as the tool to apply the luminizer. It really does create a natural, flawless look
- I read about Burt’s Bees Radiance Body Lotion as the must have lotion for shimmering, healthy looking skin without metallic flecks. With Royal Jelly, Sunflower Oil and Aloe mixed with Mica for light reflection, it really does add a hint of a glow to bare legs and arms.
- A sheer swipe of a hydrating lip treatment/serum is the perfect finishing touch for a healthy glow. Chantecaille Galactic Lip Shine in Polaris has the added bonus of an iridescent shimmer that works with all skin tones and enhances lip’s natural color.

I use several of your products, so I feel I can trust your endorsement on the others. Thank you! Where do you apply the Luminizer?

I apply it on my cheek bones, forehead, and Cupid’s bow. It’s very subtle.
