I have a few events coming up in May and I’m just starting to wrap my mind around what I would like to wear. After endlessly looking at dresses and coming up empty-handed, I’ve shifted gears. My focus is now on separates. I always feel pulled together and comfortable in a beautiful trouser and special top. This ensemble is not only easy to create, it can be far more interesting then a dress and lets me be as creative as I like. With separates, I can layer on or minimize jewelery, switch out shoes and a bag, and have multiple varied looks. The tops above offer mileage with the versatility to additionally be worn with skirts or even the right denim. Sticking to a classic palette of black and white is an elegant choice while the silhouettes and details make the pieces current and interesting. A red shoe presents a surprise splash of color, and Aquazurra’s suede, fringe, ankle-strap sandal has the required comfortable heel height while looking of the moment and fresh.
