I spent a single day in Croatia a few years ago and decided I must return for a reasonable time to explore the country’s history, culture and beauty. That day isn’t on the calendar in the near future, but looking at the pictures of newly opened Little Green Bay on the island of Hvar, has made the planning a lot easier. Profiled in Vogue Paris, the hotel captures all the things I enjoyed on my brief visit. The crystal clear Adriatic water and rustic simplicity of trees and foliage poking through rocky shorelines are met with a culture rich in history. Beachfront bars and cafes offering delicious local seafood invite lazy afternoons to do absolutely nothing but take in the beauty and vibe. Croatia feels like a cross between the coastal towns of Italy and the islands of Greece, without the crowds, which explains why it is often referred to as Eastern Europe’s Riviera.
