In keeping with my December countdown of sharing favorites, I’m going off the style route to recommend several television series I’ve watched this year that have kept me thoroughly entertained. Coincidently, the majority of them are on Netflix.
The Crown One season with a total of six planned chronicling the life of Queen Elizabeth II. (2016 – )
Narcos Follows Pablo Escobar and the DEA agents hunting him down. (2015 – )
Stranger Things Science fiction drama with a heavy dose of 1980s nostalgia starring Winona Ryder and a cast of incredible child actors. Binge watched the first season in three days. (2016 – )
Happy Valley British crime drama set in Northern England with plot twists and excellent acting from Sarah Lancashire. (2014 – )
Game of Thrones I was late to the game watching this highly addictive show. Excellent in every way. (2011 – )
Bloodline Thriller drama with family secrets set in Florida Keys with great cast including Sissy Spacek and Kyle Chandler. (2015 – 2017)
The Killing Based on a popular Danish TV series, a crime drama set in Seattle following a detective’s investigation into a murder. Rainy, gray and moody. (2011 – 2014)
Arrested Development I watched again this year and still found quips I missed the first time around. Comedy series revolving around an eccentric family set in Orange County. (2003 – 2013)
The Fall Psychological thriller based on a popular British drama series set in Belfast and London. (2013 – 2016)
