Looking at some of the resort and swimwear pieces that’ve been popping up in shops lately has me excited about some new looks. For starters, I love the idea of these jackets that will look very chic poolside over a pair of shorts. The white is actually a retro-inspired velour set with a coordinating pair of shorts (not shown). It also comes in a pale green and would be a wear-to-death vacation piece handy on wind swept days or in air-conditioned hotels. I fell in love with many of Dodo Bar Or‘s dresses last spring and am excited about her signature embroidered jacquard fabrics in fun separates. Worn matchy-matchy as a set is a look I’ll definitely embrace. I’m also impressed with the wide array of interesting colors that are coming out in swimwear. Rather than go for black or white, I think deep wine is super sophisticated and looks good with almost anything. Straw toned rope sandals are fresh, beachy and definitely live up to the vacation vibe and look great with a must-have oversized, frayed-edge hat.

Great post! Love the palette. Any suggestions where to find a suit like the Matteau but in a long torso version? I love the simplicity of this one and the unique color. I can’t find a great suit in anything but black that fits my longer torso.

Hi Keri,
I have the same problem finding one piece swimsuits. Have you tried Seafolly? The only swimwear line I know of that has one-pieces specifically for a long torso is J.Crew. Let me know if you find others!

Les Essentials Asia by Eres seems to fit my longish torso well also. Very simple and great colors.
