I’ve been on a cleaning spree. With the new year, I suddenly feel compelled to purge every closet, nook and cranny. Over the holidays, things I wore didn’t seem to find their proper place back in my closet creating a bit of an unorganized mess. On top of that, I’m in the mood to pare back and heavily edit. For starters, I have way too many jeans, when all I really want is a classic mid-tone pair like the ones above. I love the high waist, loose fit and clean, mid-blue wash. For some reason, something this simple is extremely hard to find. Any suggestions?

Find great ones at LLBean – not haute but great fit and even greater price. I can’t live without mine (more than one pair!!)
Karima
Thanks…hadn’t thought of them!

I am with you on the desire to clean up after the holidays! Yesterday I did a purge on my sweaters, today I will tackle jeans and pants. I have a Paige pair similar to the ones in the picture. Sorry I don’t have a style name….
Karima
Thanks Susan…I’ll check out some of the Paige styles.

I have and love Frame Le High Straight (although you may need to size up for a looser fit). MIH’s Daily jeans look good too but I haven’t tried them on.
Karima
Frame Le High straight look like a possibility…if I size up…I tried MiH Daily and unfortunately, they didnt work for me.

Frame has come out with a Re-Done line that looks good. I like what MMS said and I do wear those, but they have stretch. I think the ones in the photo are Levi’s, which so far, don’t work on me. Also Chimalya and Point Sur sometimes have great, simple, classic jeans.

I’ll have to check out the Re-Done line from Frame…I haven’t seen anything on it yet. Levi’s dont work for me either.
I just ordered AG Isabelle…dark rinse/straight leg and Current/Elliott The Fling…fingers crossed.
Kathy
I just ordered a pair of Frame Le Rigid on NAP this morning. They look really good (in the photo)

My suggestion may not be extremely helpful as I prefer the middle waist to the high waist jeans. The best I managed to find so far are Notify Olea (I sized down 2 sizes) and Acne, though I do not remember the style name.
You mentioned that neither Levi’s nor MiH Daily didn’t suit you, this was also my case, so you might want to give them a try.
Good luck and keep us updated if you find the perfect pair of jeans, I am sure that plenty of your blog readers are after them.
Karima
I actually prefer a middle waist too…and I forgot about Notify. They’ve been off my radar for awhile. I have a pair of Acne they look OK but are not the most comfortable. I probably should have sized up. Thanks.

Two things at play here: these jeans are most likely 100% cotton, no stretch, and this woman most likely has a great tailor on board. The two musts for classic great fitting jeans! Check out Chloe classic straight leg jean and Toteme original denim. Size up and have your tailor customize them to your body – narrow the leg, lift the hem, etc.
Karima
Well said! A tailor is a must for a great fit. I’ll check out Chloe and Toteme…two brands I’ve not tried in denim. Thanks!

I adore Notify. They are my go to brand. Once you find your style that suits you, there is no going back.

Sad to say the Toteme orignal jeans arrived today, after a two week delay on their end, and I am very dispappointed. I purchased two sizes and one pair is a bit snug and the other pair was sewn so poorly they are going back. The seam on one leg is so crooked it ends up falling down the center of the leg! The other leg was sewn straight so it was not intentional. Very disappointed.
Karima
That is very disappointing. I’ve never bought their denim but have been happy with other items I have from Toteme. Thanks for sharing that info with readers.
