A digital series on the Tory Burch blog, shot by Margaret Zhang of Shine by Three, perfectly captures the spirit of summer on the West Coast. The show-stoppers are the elevated Baja tunics from the latest Tory Burch collection, which I’d wear both at the beach or street. The story, shot at the iconic Harry Gesner House in Malibu, reflects a hint of seventies laid back ease and can be seen in its entirety here. And after you’ve browsed that, I’m sure you’ll be intrigued about architect Harry Gesner, who you can read more about here.
For the home, introducing elements from nature or raw, weathered finishes can bring in a similar feeling. I recently snapped the shot below while browsing in one of my favorite local stores, Juxtaposition Home. I often pop in for inspiration on their interpretation of California-chic interiors, and rarely walk out empty handed. It’s a must stop shop if you’re in the Newport Beach area. They also sell select pieces online.

Love that tunic! I really like Tory Burch sport too. Didn’t used to love that brand but they totally turned me around. :) That lamp may also need a new home. Namely, in mine.

I love it too! I can definitely see that lamp in your home. It’s very you!
