I was revisiting the images from the Dior Resort show in May, and these two looks summed up what excited me about the collection. I should preface by saying, although I love, I don’t wear Dior clothing. But, I know the direction of the line has influence and will trickle into the market and price point I shop.
That being said, I’m thrilled with the longer length skirts and dresses. Simply put, they’re downright elegant. Hitting just below the knee to ankle grazing, the length looks fantastic with flat shoes, another hit from the collection.
Narrow shoulders and a softly defined waistline were a consistent silhouette that I can only hope will reach other markets. The subtle femininity of a thin, extra long belt is a quiet, but beautiful statement. Crisp white shirts tucked beneath are another element that add a classic note but avoid the too traditional route.
These are pieces women like me would love to wear. I like sleeves, and I like long, but I want shape. I like the comfort of flats, but with an edge. The entire collection, and specifically these silhouettes, subtly embrace the female form in the best way with understated elegance.

I agree, and look forward to the trickle down effect.
