I’m all about comfort when traveling which is why I usually pack a lug sole boot, particularly on trips involving unpredictable weather and walking. That extra layer at the sole and the grip of the tread makes all the difference when trekking around uneven surfaces all day.
I had a few inquiries about the lug sole boots I wore recently, which unfortunately are from several seasons ago. I searched around a bit and found some options that I think I have a similar feel.
From top: If I didn’t already have a pair, I’d be very tempted with the Frances Valentine Chelsea with red trim and white top stitching. At under $250, they’re a steal too.
The Farley lace up from Vince is also a good-looking boot and has a refined ruggedness to it which I like.
And the Stuart Weitzman Milano is practically a dead-ringer for mine. Additionally, it’s marked down to a very friendly price point at $318.

I receveid the Stuart Weitzman boots today and love them! It’s been awhile since I have had a good pair of lug soles and now I am not sure how I got by for so long without them. I do wish they had the side zipper but nonetheless they will get me through some Seattle winters. Thanks again for sharing your great finds Karima!
