November is traditionally the month I buckle down and start focusing on the holidays and how the year will wrap up. It’s also when I review the items on my fall wish list, many of which are on sale by now, and snap up anything that still appeals to me, like a checked blazer or a heeled loafer.
I’ve been partial to small post style earrings lately like Suzanne Kalan’s Fireworks setting. I like their quietness and wear with everything appeal. They would also look great stacked or climbing on one ear.
The glow from summer has officially faded by now meaning it’s time to adjust my concealer and perhaps other makeup colors to accommodate the paler hue of my skin. I’ll take a second look at my bronzer, blush and add a darker lipstick to complement paler skin.
The shift in seasons always trickles from the closet to the home and I’m super inspired by both of the books by Gil Schafer III, The Great American House and the recently released A Place to Call Home. As much as I love to take in the latest in interior and home design, classic style will always be close to my heart, especially when approached with disciplined thoughtfulness as seen in Schafer’s work.

Really nice picks…all of them. Are the Givenchy loafers comfortable? TTS?

Very comfortable. I wanted a pointed toe for some of my long trousers but most of the true pumps I tried weren’t comfortable. I tried these on and immediately knew they were the one. Fit is tts.
