The countdown to Thanksgiving officially hit me this week. Realizing I only have two weeks left to prep, I’ve started a running list of things to get done early so I wont be frustrated and stuck in crowds at the last minute. I’ve been working on my table decor ideas, which is way more fun for me than cooking, and hope to get everything lined up in the next few days.
That means pure comfort for running around in layers that I can move quickly and comfortably around the market, nursery and florist. With a base of black jeans and top, I can count on looking pulled together and add any number of jackets and shoes to the mix.
This look is all about efficiency with sturdy flats (aren’t these the coolest sneakers?) and a hands free cross-body. The whipstitching on the iconic saddlebag from Chloe in suede caramel is a winner.
An oversized denim jacket is a great layer just in case temps fluctuate, plus it’s not so precious that I’ll worry about it getting dirty. The super faded wash and frayed edges on the Vintage Trucker from Current/Elliott give the classic piece a lot more interest.
Easy to apply (read mirror free) lip color in a friendly, lasting all day shade makes quick touch ups a breeze. And since this look tends to lean on the more masculine side, I’d make sure to add a finishing touch, like these simple, but gorgeous, black sapphire and sterling hoops. Done.

You are the cutest errand runner ever! So.. I should ditch the leggings and oversized sweatshirt? You motivate me. I always fell better when I feel like I am put together.

I see you running around town and you look pretty cute no matter what you’re wearing. XO
