Even though it is only a change on the calendar, saying goodbye to one year and welcoming the new always feels like a fresh start. It’s also the perfect time for me to look back at A Note on Style and share some of my favorite things from 2017. But first, a note of thanks to all of you for following, sharing and supporting A Note on Style. I’m excited for what’s ahead in 2018 and wouldn’t be here without your loyal readership. Wishing you all a Happy New Year!
A FEW HIGHLIGHTS OF 2017:
This summer, I started my guest series with La Dolce Vita. It has turned into a monthly post that I look forward to creating and sharing with LDV readers. I think it’s an honor to guest post on such a beautiful site and I’m very appreciative to Paloma Contreras for providing me with that opportunity.
It was a pleasure to meet Zoe and James Zillian at their Farmhouse Pottery studio and shop in Vermont. They are warm, humble and grateful for the support of their beautiful products which is a reflection of their lifestyle. I had never done a Giveaway on A Note on Style, so it was exciting to collaborate with them generously offering their Laurel Pie Dish to a lucky winner. Thank you to all who participated.
Attending the inaugural In Goop Health Summit and hearing from doctors and leaders in their fields on the importance of finding ways to achieve a life with health and balance. It was a fantastic introduction to so many topics I had a spark of interest in, which gave me the chance to figure out which ones I wanted to delve into more deeply.
A cruise on the bay with Argaux. This beautiful evening was organized by my friends at Art of Being Female bringing together a creative group of women who offer loads of inspiration while pursuing their passion. From the sommeliers at Argaux, to event planners at Beijos, photographer Alison Bernier, Kristin from local boutique Garage Collective and new bloggers at Art of Being Female, this is a talented bunch. Love the new friendships and support of this group.
Travel to Boston, Napa and here, Charleston, New York, Nashville, Key West and New England. I enjoyed traveling within the United States to some great cities this year and sharing the adventures with you all. I hope to continue this thread of posts in 2018 with more cities and guides. It’s one of my favorite subjects to write about.

NEW 2017 BLOGS I FOLLOW:
I get my daily dose of decor inspiration from Palais. Preston Davis launched the site dedicated to all things chic for the home this summer and I’m hooked. It’s as fabulous as her fashion focused site Keep it Chic.A site, also launched this summer, by friends covering the many hats we wear as women. Appropriately titled The Art of Being Female expect to be entertained with beautifully photographed stories on a variety of subjects including gift guides, how tos and my personal favorite, profiles on women.
Hope you all had a fantastic 2017 and Happy New Year!
