I haven’t gone to a theatre to see a movie in such a long. I’m not a fan of the re-makes and superhero type movies that have dominated the box office, plus cable television is currently quite good. But that changes with Steven Spielberg’s “The Post”. The docudrama, starring Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks, follows The Washington Post publisher Katherine Graham and editor Ben Bradlee‘s decision making process to publish the Pentagon Papers in 1971. I’d love to hear a review if any of you’ve seen it yet.

The movie’s release coincides nicely with the
recent unabridged recording of Katharine Graham’s autobiography, Personal History, published in 1997, which has been on my reading list for some time. I’ll be adding this to my Audible queue.

The cinematography (muted colors & lighting) is wonderful and Meryl Streep is great. If she was in a scene, my eyes stayed on her entirely. I would rate the movie itself as good.

Thanks Val.

I hate seeing movies in the theater but will make an exception for this.
