Michelle Macarounas, founder of Infinite Design in Sydney, blends a mix of collected antiques with modern pieces resulting in a fresh design that merges Australian ease with a European aesthetic. Adding contemporary, sculptural pieces within the framework of a predominantly old-world style in the 1920s home is not an easy task, but Macarounas succeeds beautifully. I love the muted palette with only a brief interruption of bold color in an upholstered chair or decorative piece. Macarounas is also a master in creating interesting table vignettes with lots of glass in a mostly vertical story. The artwork is the final piece of the puzzle adding to the home’s unique personality. Read the full story here.
