I’m a leopard person. I think you either are or aren’t. I’ve always loved it. But, I’m a little picky. I don’t love all leopard patterns. Fabrication, color way, and size of repeat are all factors that come in to play. There aren’t any firm rules I apply, I just know when I like it. Traveling this past summer, it became clear that leopard was having a moment. Between the charming boutiques and stylish women on the streets of Stockholm, Amsterdam and Copenhagen, the print seemed to be popping up everywhere. Back home, I’m seeing the variety of options rolling out for fall, and there are lots to choose from.
For those who shy away, accessories are the easiest vehicle to introduce leopard or other spotted felines into your wardrobe. Buy a classic bag or shoe in the pattern, and you’ll see what I mean. I have a pair of Gucci loafers (above/ similar here) and a Dolce & Gabbana bag (similar) from years ago that still are in rotation. I treat them as neutrals and wear them with everything, including other prints.
If there were a season where you felt emboldened to step beyond the accessory route, this is it. Skirts, in every length and silhouette, take to the print well. I especially like them in silk, or other fabrics with movement. A jacket is another option that easily completes even the most basic outfit, say jeans and a tee. Head to toe, a dress works beautifully when paired back to simple accessories, like above.

Personally, I’ve jumped on board this season, and found a long skirt I can’t wait to wear. I’m also eyeing several other pieces that I think have staying power beyond the season. Click through below to see.

I purchased the same long skirt a month ago and, like you, can’t wait to wear it! I am traveling to Barcelona and Burgundy, France, next week and have utilized your travel wardrobe philosophy for packing. This skirt along with The Row blazer are at the center of the plan!

That’s fantastic! I love the skirt and blazer together. Have a wonderful trip. This is my favorite time of year to travel to Europe and I’m sure it will be lovely.

I am such a leopard person too! I am currently looking for a loose, long dress. The one in the main picture of this post is my dream dress. Anyone know who it is by, or seen a similar one?
Karima
I’m not sure who makes the dress in the opening photo. It is fabulous. I’d love to know too if anyone can source it.
Karima
Found the dress, here. And it’s on sale.

I love Leopard also. In my opinion Leopard will never go out of style. It can be casual as well as elegant at the same time. I like mixing it with pops of color like bright pink and red.
Karima
Agree!

I’m on the waitlist for Tamara Mellon’s Grace pointy toe flat in leopard. Animal prints in small doses is always best in my opinion.

I love a leopard shoe, especially in a simple, classic style.

Scarves & belts are as far as I’ve gone with leopard. I am cautious with pants.
If I could find some leopard oxfords they would definitely come home with me. Any ideas?
Joanna
That should be prints not pants. Oops!
Karima
Sure…depending on your price point you could try THESE or THESE.

Is the dress a the top Ganni? It looks like it! I have always been a leopard lover too! I bought the Zara jacket in the pic above as well and love how it fits. Leopard boots by rag and bone, leopard faux fur coat by Frame. Bring on all the spots! Thanks for the fun inspo as always! xx
Karima
Love how you’re embracing animal prints. I have a great By Malene Birgerr coat from last year that I can’t wait to bring out from the back of the closet for cooler nights ahead. BTW, dress is M&S.
