When I first saw this editorial in the September issue of Vogue Paris, I paused to consider the idea of western accents as a recurring trend. It’s definitely a thing for Fall 2018, but I also think worn sparingly, it’s a classic. Geraldine Saglio styled Claudia Schiffer in a way making cowboy boots and belts relatable. Keep it simple with a single item, say a killer boot or an artisan detailed belt buckle, then pair with familiar jeans, shirt or sweater. This is a case where less is more.

Those belts are really something! I would wear one of those but as for cowboy boots – nope! Good ones are expensive and I really think they are a fad, unless you live in a place we’re they are commonly seen.
But, I believe everyone should wear what makes them happy!

I own a 10 year old pair of chocolate brown suede Gucci western boots and I don’t have a clue on how to style them without looking frumpy. I have probably worn them twice. I have a friend who is a stylist and when she wears hers she looks California chic. So maybe a personality thing? She’s tall with long blond hair and wears it loose. I wear mine in a French chignon!

I want cowboy boots!

To me, they’re classic.

I bought the Golden Goose Young ankle boots. A little bit of western flair to them, but not over the top. They are versatile and extremely comfortable. Can wear them with everything.
