I’m planning on giving my fall uniform a nudge with subtle tweaks to a few favorites. The sweater, jeans, and boot combo is nothing new, but appears more of the moment when the pieces are carefully selected with elements that matter.
Contrast stitching, a detail I’ve always loved, is on point more than ever this season. I’ll take it on denim, leather jackets, dresses or any other item where it adds definition and personality. Right now, I’m contemplating this western inspired boot in ivory. It would be the perfect addition to my wardrobe literally elevating every look I’d put together. I like these off-white boots as well:
A well-rounded denim collection wouldn’t be complete without a pair of classic jeans. In a perfectly faded wash, minus rips or whiskering, the 90s inspired style from Acne Studios above, looks like a much loved pair I wish I’d held on to from college. With a vintage vibe, they are the epitome of chic. And since jeans are all about the perfect fit, I’m taking a look at these from Goldsign, ReDone, and M.I.H. too.
I have a soft spot for cable-knit sweaters, particularly in off-white. If they weren’t so difficult to find, with the specific details I want, I’m sure I’d have a massive collection. They’re often too heavy for a Southern California lifestyle. So when I see a style that offers a fresh spin on this beloved classic, I take a second look. The slim proportions and strategically placed details on this style from Isabel Marant offers a flattering fit without all the bulk.
The practical side of me is the voice of reason that explains my ongoing infatuation with cross-body bags. I’ll take hands free over a shoulder bag any day. So, in the interest of keeping things fresh, how about giving black a rest and adding a color that’s less predictable, say a rich bordeaux? And I know logo mania has taken over right now, but is there anything better than curiosity stirred from an under the radar bag that stands out simply for its beauty? Take a look at the logo free selection below, all with a wallet friendly price under $1000.

Most look tacky/cheap or are too structured. Please do post about, please! I’m open to all designers….The Row, Gucci, LV, CC, Celine, Bottaga, ETC!!! ps.My cream boots by The Far arrived and they are fabulous! Would have not found without receiving your emails!

Just ordered the ivory boots with contrast stitching. Have been living in cowboy boots – so these may be a great addition. Will report back.
