In my search for a pretty little heel, I had high hopes for The Row’s Coco mule. Simple, pretty, feminine and chic. Easy to dress up or down. It seemed like the perfect shoe. Sadly, the fit didn’t work for me.
Enter this very similar mule from Botkier I discovered while running through Bloomingdales. First, it is beyond comfortable, thanks to a padded insole. Second, the price at $138, is unbeatable.
Since purchasing them a couple of weeks ago, I’ve already worn them to a couple of events where I stood on my feet for several hours. These will be my go-to holiday shoe. After all, there’s nothing more stylish than comfort.
Apparently, I’m not the only one on to them. They’re selling fast. Quantities are best at Shopbop, and limited at Bloomingdales and Anthroplogie.

Karima, as always I love your picks and have been searching for some velvet pants. However, I’ve been looking at pairs by Khaite (burgundy), Acne (tan and navy) and Raey (dark grey). Curious if you have purchased anything by Raey yet? Also as someone who lives in a cold climate, would love to hear your suggestions as to how to style cropped pants when a bare foot/ankle isn’t practical.
Karima
Kim – those are all great options for velvet pants. I’ve purchased Raey jeans before and they fir true to size and were well made. That being said, personally I like the higher rise on the Acne and Khaite trousers. As for cropped trousers, I like a sock type boot that hugs the ankle and is tall enough to rest under the hem of the cropped pant. I’m also loving the look of a pretty sock with a beautiful shoe.

Would you the shoe runs true to size? The review on Anthropologie says that they run small and she had to return them. They have my size but not up a half size so I am in a quandary. Thanks!

I think the shoe runs large. I’m normally a 9/9.5 and got the 8.5. I have a narrow foot. I also like my heel as close to edge as possible in mules.
