Before you know it, the best sale pieces will be gone, so I’m going back through my Pinterest boards to review images I’ve saved. This photo of Jo Ellison still resonates with me. I usually dress from the shoe up, so adding a spin to a uniform of jeans and a blazer with a pair of colored boots is right up my alley.

I love everything about this look. It’s simple, chic and comfortable. I wish I could be adventurous and buy a colored boot, but I stick to Black and Tan. Just bought The Row’s Ámbra suede booties in black. But for a moment, I thought about buying them in deep chocolate brown.
On a different note, have you been to Europe in the Spring? I’ve always traveled during the autumn and winter months and wonder if you have one of your packing guides for spring travel in the archives.

I agree, it’s hard to step away from buying black, especially boots, but when I do, that pair becomes a favorite, and often, the game changer to an outfit.
Re: travel, I’ve been to Europe in the spring but don’t have a post on packing. This New York guide from a trip in May contains a lot of the same items I would take on a Europe trip though. It also depends on where you’re going in Europe…north or south and what month.
