Just when my husband got used to me in sheet face masks, I’ve upped the craziness with a beauty find for chest wrinkles. Both a friend and my aesthetician swear by SilcSkin pads, (made of the same 100% medical grade silicone used in treating scars and burns), so naturally, I was intrigued. The decollette pad, a triangular reusable patch, helps prevent further fine wrinkles and creepiness on the chest associated with side sleeping. I’ve been using one a couple of times a week, and don’t think I’m imagining a subtle improvement in texture. The facial pads are good too, small enough to individually apply on targeted areas, like the upper lip or crows feet.
“The pads are designed to be worn at night to prevent and correct wrinkles. Wrinkles are treated like scars. The pads hydrate the skin, improve the collagen and flatten wrinkles. With prolonged use the pads provide Electro static energy which starts a wound healing response and starts collagen production in the area. This causes the softening of lines and wrinkles giving your skin a more youthful and supple appearance.” – SilcSkin
As far as the sheet masks I use, I love a wide spectrum, from spurge worthy La Mer and SK-II to price friendly Acure Organics.
