I’m missing Sundance this year, but if I were there, I’d make sure to see Halston, a new documentary directed by Frederic Tcheng of Dior and I fame. I’ve always loved the jet-set style Halston so perfectly captured in his work throughout the 70s. The film goes beyond the story of Halston’s personal life by exploring the rise and unfortunate fall of his business. Tcheng is hopeful that the film will shed new light and a greater appreciation of Halston’s accomplishments and contributions to the fashion industry and American culture.
