Have you noticed a shift in eye makeup, specifically mascara, towards a very natural look? It appears that with lashes, less may be more. I’m beginning to question if mascara is aging and looks dated.

I totally agree. There is a great shift happening to less makeup and more focus on radiant skin. The inside out approach! It goes hand in hand with women choosing to be authentically themselves instead of covering up and dimming their light. I stopped wearing mascara because it was damaging my lashes. Since cutting it out my lashes have grown long and full again. The daily celery juice helps as well!

I keep hearing the wonders of celery juice. Now for lash growth too!

I’ve always been about the natural look with a glow, and I do love mascara on my upper lashes.
Karima
I love that look too.

I’m keeping my mascara. My eyelashes are blonde so I need mascara. If I could have only one makeup product, it would be my mascara. I feel naked without it.
Karima
I understand that with blonde eyelashes. Mascara can still provide a very natural look depending on application and product.

Not a fan of all the fake eyelashes. Like the dab of mascara on upper lashes too
Karima
Agree. Using a light hand with mascara is the trick.

Mascara wakes up my face. I prefer a mascara that defines and shapes subtly. But it is definitely a must in my makeup routine. I alternate between Dr Harushkas clean mascara and L’Oréal’s lash paradise.

I have thought about this, esp as a woman in her fifties. I only sweep my upper lashes, and very lightly (btw, in over 30 years of buying/wearing mascara, I swear by Almay’s Thickening Mascara). Sometimes I add a bronze/brown eyeliner to my upper lids. Surprisingly, I have had great results with the drugstore RapidBrow product on growing out my brows, so maybe giving the RapidLash product a go would be a fun experiment. There is also the higher end Revita products that get good reviews. I tried Latisse, but my Opthamologist scared me away from its long term effects. So many options to consider!
