A skirt is the last item to complete this week’s capsule collection of classic wardrobe builders. Black or tan would work just as well as the piece I’ve selected, but I think white has a bit more flair. The gently draped silhouette calls for a relaxed top and I’d love to see it worn with either a fitted or loose sweater. I’d also pair it with a coordinating white top and toss on the black leather jacket from yesterday, or the tan blazer from this week’s earlier post.

This is the greatest series of posts! The capsule wardrobe is gorgeous. I love how you illustrated the versatility of each piece by using it as a core for the wardrobe on different days. I learned a lot from your use of shape and texture to create interest, while building around a wardrobe of neutrals. I am going to try to adapt this system for my more casual lifestyle by by using white and black denim with my tan blazer.
