I love the sophisticated look of a high-waist two-piece but struggled to find one that was flattering. Too often the cuts hit at an awkward spot across the abdomen visually breaking up any hope of an elongated silhouette. Once I tried on a style with a higher waist, it became clear that detail was key. With a silhouette following the shape of the torso, the focus goes to the curve of the waist, not the stomach. In addition, the fold-over element, or any other non-binding edge, makes for a very comfortable fit.
