I’m currently pleased with the regimen of lotions and serums used on my face and neck. However, skin maintenance is continuously evolving and I still remain interested in learning from others suggestions and advancing technology.
My focus now has shifted to the skin on my arms and legs. Years of sun damage from my teens has taken its course and I’m paying for it with a textured pigmented surface. Rather than go down the rabbit hole of endless reviews online, I thought I’d ask readers for their recommendations. Is there a body lotion you love that does more than nicely moisturize? Or a treatment with results? Please share.

Lasers don’t work well for arms and legs – that I know, as I’ve enquired. I honestly haven’t tried anything that really helps improve anything, but a good oily scrub product in the shower, and any moisturizer after (I use Eurcerin at the moment), and keeping those parts out of the sun, at least holds the damage at bay? I’ll be curious to hear from others too.

I recently bought the Glytone KP kit from Dermstore. After only a few uses my skin feels smoother and softer. It is marketed as a skin care kit for eliminating keratosis pilaris but I find it works well on the rough sun-damaged skin on my forearms and lower legs.

Thanks. I didn’t realize Glytone had a body line. I’ll check it out!

Does it lighten sun spots?

I have had some very good results with Vichy Ideal Body Lotion Serum Milk, as well as City Beauty InvisiCrepe Body Balm. In terms of a better-than-basic option, Kiehl’s Creme de Corps is hard to beat.

I love Kiehls Creme de Corps and have also used it for years. But, I’ll look into both the Vichy and City Beauty products you mentioned. I’m not familiar with them at all. Thanks.

I swear by CeraVe but the light blue one that says for rough and bumpy skin. It has no scent and is the only one I’ve found that does the trick….. I’m a product fiend and love beautiful packaging… but you can’t beat this

Another vote for CeraVe! I’ll definitely give this a try.

I have found that applying a body oil after the shower works best for me. I usually use plain old Neutrogena, It is just called, Neutrogena Body Oil, Light Sesame Formula. When I do have it, also use Jo Malone. Also, exfoliating helps once a week or so with a scrub that I make myself with baking soda and olive oil.
Cheers!

I love a good scrub. I’ve been body brushing, but the scrub would add a layer of moisture. Thank you.

I love Beautycounter’s Countermatch body lotion. Their sugar scrub and body oil is also amazing.

I use Goop’s salt detox body scrub. I love it.

I’m so dry!
Sometimes I oil arms and legs (lavender massage oil or other)
Another find in drug store CeraVe Moisturizing Cream, feels good.

I use both jojoba and coconut oil too. The CeraVe appears to be a good option.

I’ve been using pursoma’s body brush on dry skin before showering to increase blood flow to my arms and legs and gently exfoliate. Then after the shower I’ve been using Beautycounter’s Body lotion which is the only lotion I’ve found with positively no irritation. My skin has been incredibly smooth for the first time in my adult life!

I’m hooked on Uradin Lotion 10 Intense Hydration made by Isdin that I purchased from my dermatologist. It’s not oily, has a clean fragrance, and almost feels you have a protective layer on your skin. I must admit it’s helped with aging skin texture issues! 😉

I have been dry brushing daily and applying Retinol Anti Aging body lotion with good results. I found it at Bed Bath and Beyond not easy to find a retinol body lotion. Good price too.

I lather coconut oil after I shower. It’s greasy but I work from home and it works for me. It’s natural and effective.

Dry brushing for circulation and exfoliating is highly recommended. I love the Weleda products. I’ve been using Skin Food as a moisturizer for years and now apply to my face when I particularly dehydrated. Just bought Weleda’s Replenishing Body Oil which I like too.
In LA where humidity rarely exists, I find I need heavy duty hydration for my face and body year round.

AmLactin, per my Dermatologist. Can be bought in most drugstores.
