Preppy influenced pairings never looked so good.
One of my favorite looks from the Celine AW19 runway is actually a combination of some pretty basic pieces. A crewneck sweater with denim? Easy. Corduroy blazer? Done. But, it’s the subtle details that pull it all together and provide a current and chic edge.
A frill collared shirt, solid or striped, is the shirt to have now. When the Celine version above sells out, I’m sure there will be plenty of other options available. Ditto for a thin snakeskin belt. Let the more utilitarian leather belts we’ve been wearing for the last few years take a back seat and welcome this polished beauty into your closet.

Love this tomboy look. Have just bought a dark brown corduroy blazer like the Celine one from Margaret Howell London. Really great piece.

Thirty years ago, my mother packed me off to New England as a college freshman with a brown corduroy blazer! It was my favorite piece and coveted by all my friends.

When I was young I wore blouses like that with wool crew necks, but the jeans then were original version Calvin Klein’s.

Those are Celine but I’m sure there are plenty of price-friendly styles from RE/DONE or Mother Denim.
