I think traveling a good portion of September threw me off. I’m in disbelief it’s already November. That, along with unseasonal warm October, has me still craving my fall fix. I’m ready for boots and sweaters and will sport them the minute the temperature dips even slightly for this native California girl. Any day less than 70 degrees is a contender.
For this lovely first weekend in November, I’m sharing a few of my favorite things. At the top of the list is HBO’s Succession. Binge-worthy. I’m all caught up (two seasons) and considering watching it again for some of the crazy lines and superb acting that draws you into each character.
I’ve recently upgraded all of my readers around the house to screen readers that filter blue light. My eyes feel less tired at the end of the day. I think it will be interesting down the road to see the impact, if any, blue light has on vision, headaches, mood, etc. I love the styles from Look Optic (not a sponsored post). The frames are incredibly lightweight and the colors are stylish. I can attest to their easy try-on and return policy since I switched out a few colors and shapes until I got the right fit.
One of the go-to pieces in my closet is a black sweater. It’s a no-brainer item that works with everything. I keep several styles and weights for slight tweaks to my uniform. Tibi’s ribbed, slim-cut turtleneck is in my shopping cart now and will look great tucked in a high waist skirt or pant.
This tall leather Gianvito Rossi boot has my name on it. I love the cap toe, slim shaft, and low block heel. It packs a lot of polish and stands out in the crowded field of chic black boots.
Jil Sander has been nailing it lately and is high on my radar of brands to watch. This knot handle bag is the fourth or fifth bag I’ve loved recently along with several shoes and a couple of jackets (THIS!). Streamlined, minimalist and cool.
