Last week I talked about Fashion Fatigue, this week I’m filled with sale fatigue. I’m glad I created wishlists long ago so I can just poke through them and see if anything is a)on sale and b)still interests me. Net-a-Porter just marked down items further today, Matches Fashion jumped in the sales pool earlier this week, while Saks, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and FarFetch are offering both promos and substantial markdowns. Black Friday seems to no longer be a thing with everyone jumping on board over a full week before Thanksgiving.
Meanwhile, with Thanksgiving prep on my mind, I’ve decided to follow this Bon Appetit recipe that my friend at Angela’s Table prepared last week. Having the butcher cut up the turkey into eight pieces makes cooking the turkey (and handling it) much easier. For someone who doesn’t like touching raw meat or poultry, this will be bearable for me. Plus, dry brining sounds so much more practical. See the recipe HERE. And look at Angela’s beautiful table setting that I’m going to copy HERE!
Between the sales and Thanksgiving prep, the best way for me to shut down is by watching a good show. Amazon Prime’s Modern Love series is fantastic!

Do you find these clogs comfortable? I’ve tried a few different brands on and have found them to be rather, well, cloggish–or very heavy.

I’d say they feel like most clogs… and you either love or hate them. I prefer a back strap like on my pair from Gucci.

Thank you Karima for your kind words. That turkey is sooo good, and so much easier than wrestling a big bird. I had the butcher cut it into five pieces – whole breast, two whole leg pieces (thigh and drumstick together ) and two wings. I had them discard the backbone. My 15 lb turkey was ready in under two hours and was so juicy and flavorful. I’m sure yours will be as well.
