For the first time in a long time, I’ve been wearing tights and stockings. And let me just say, after going bare-legged for decades, I forgot what I was missing. Comfort and warmth are at the top of the list, followed by a dose of instant chic. Matte opaque is my new go-to with both boots and heels, but a semi-sheer has its place too. And, although I’ve never tried them, a friend of mine swears by Wolford’s Individual “Stay Ups”.
The bottom line is a covered leg looks modern now and opens a whole new world for styling options. I’m hooked.

I love Wolford and always count on them.

They’re incredibly comfortable.

I never liked the bare leg trend, except with summer dresses, of course. It feels dressed down to me. So…I’m happy that tights & pantyhose are back. Plus, in colder climes the bare leg trend left you freezing as you darted from car to building. Off to buy some tights.

If I lived in a colder climate, I’m sure I would have been wearing them all along too. For years, I dismissed them because the bare leg looked dominated in California, but not anymore. I love how they keep me warm under some of my lightweight dresses.

I love the feel of stockings. That’s all I wore during my nearly 30 year Corporate Finance career. I wore the Wolford Stay Ups a few times, and they indeed do stay up, but didn’t like them nearly as much my regular Wolford stockings and tights. Commando makes a very nice no waist band/no roll down tight. I’m glad they’re making a comeback.
