Shopping is not high on my priority list right now, but after several weeks of living in workout clothing and the same rotation of jeans and sweaters, I wouldn’t mind a few items to expand my everyday look. Soft relaxed items are really all I want to wear. Full leg jeans are very appealing as are loose sweatshirts and cozy shoes. I’m adding a face mask to my new norm for the next month or so, actually who knows how long. I’m going to give the Citizens of Humanity masks, sold in a pack of five, a try.

I got my masks from Hedley and Bennett. She developed them in conjunction with a Dr and has a pocket for slipping a HEPA filter (vacuum cleaner bag cutout will work) if you want added protection. For every mask you purchase they donate one to a healthcare worker. Now if I could only get some hand sanitizer. A local pharmacy is making some, but they sell out quickly.

I have started ordering my hand sanitizer from independent artisans on Etsy. They are struggling small business that are so grateful for the sales. Here are a few to select from:

Another thoughtful post Karima! Thank you for posting the comfy clothes. I feel the same way. Let’s say it will be the new temporary norm. We will come out the other side. AND
thank you VERY much for posting the face mask link. I have been trying to figure out how to get masks to some elderly relatives in Scottsdale so when they must go to the market they have a bit of protection. I know there is no consensus on if masks work but common sense tells me they must help at least a little to stop the transmission on short runs to the grocery store, for instance. In these times a little is better then nothing.
With gratitude,

Thank you for this post. I just ordered some of the Hedley & Bennett masks too. Its nice that they donate one with each purchase. We made our own hand sanitizer with aloe and alcohol. It is very effective! I also ordered and received the Margaret Dabbs hand kit. The scrub is wonderful. Keep giving us great ideas Karima!

Lucky you to have tracked down some alcohol for hand sanitizer! I’m glad you like the Margaret Dabbs products as much as I do!

A friend of mine mixed Everclear with some lavender essential oil to use as sanitizer. She put it in spray bottles.
