Donning a mask the last few weeks has made me realize the need to shift my makeup focus to the eyes. With lips concealed, lipstick or gloss doesn’t make a lot of sense right now, plus it’s messy with a mask. A barely made up eye is fine when the rest of the face is visible and balanced, but as the only feature exposed, I think a little more attention and effort are needed.
My eye care and makeup products are being applied more generously these days so as I restock my favorites, I wanted to share them. Natura Bisse Diamond Cocoon Sheer Eye Cream is a go-to that I never let run out. It replaced the cult favorite The Cure Sheer Eye hybrid formulation that combines a concealer that adapts to individual skin tones with an anti-aging treatment. If I need more coverage, Clé de Peau corrector for eyes layers beautifully. There are days when I want an extra layer of moisturizer so I smooth on Bobbi Brown’s Hydrating Eye Cream. The lightweight, non-irritating formulation feels soothing and refreshing.
I’m just interested in defining my eyes, not going for a made up look so I keep the palette natural for my coloring (dark browns) and the products to the bare minimum. With a swipe and smudge of an eyeshadow crayon, a thin eyeliner near the lash line and a few strokes of mascara, I’m good to go.
I’d be open to trying a new mascara if any of you have a favorite. Please share in the comments below.

For me, Almay Thickening mascara in black brown is the best (and I have tried so many much more expensive and always go back to the Almay). I recently discovered Moxie Lashes – magnetic false eyelashes. Purchased the Classy Lash and they are so natural and easy to apply using the magnetic eyeliner. So much fun!

Hmmm. The Moxie lash sounds intriguing.

I like the two Trish Mac Avoy mascaras. One has a thin brush that’s great for lower lashes and one is a thicker brush. They are the tube formula and stay on great and wash off with warm water. Do you use the chanel kohl pencil pictured above?
Karima
Yes, I use the Chanel Kohl pencil.

Islamic women have always known this.

i get a Yumi lash lift every two months, but these days it’s Shue Uemura mascara. Have been using it for about 20 years or so.

Thank you.

Love Glossier Lash Slick for a clean, defined, better than natural look.

I like Glossier Boy Brow too, maybe I’ll give the mascara a try.
