Happy Monday. After a beautiful, sunny weekend and the beginning of a few businesses re-opening, I’m feeling optimistic. Depending on where you live, the lifting of some quarantine restrictions, however minimal, is at the very least a step forward.
Continuing on the theme of white dresses from last week, I’ve found a few more that define my current mood of what I want to wear now. Effortless, simple, and timeless are the must have key features. (above: here)
I’d also like to bump up the size of my sunglass frames and give my aviators a rest. Bigger can easily tip the scale to overly dramatic which is not what I’m interested in. The pale tortoise frame on this chic pair from Celine with a tinted blue lens is perfection. Celine frames wear well and have held up for me in the past so I don’t hesitate if I find a new pair I like.
I’ve been able to temporarily step in for some areas of beauty maintenance like hair color and pedicures. My skin, however, has been somewhat neglected. My simple cleansing and moisturizing routine needed a boost. A friend introduced me to Instytutum’s Triple Action Resurfacing Peel. It’s exactly what I needed. I love the way my skin looks and feels after the exfoliation treatment and have been using it twice a week.
Dreaming about vacations? I sure am. Who knows what they’ll look like in the immediate future. Maybe the answer is to hunker down at a home away from home. Hotels and big cities are not calling my name. I’d rather be remotely sequestered in a charming, quiet village living life like a local. I could be very, very happy in a beautiful 18c stone cottage in Wales, or any of these hideaways. How about you?
