The biggest switch in my wardrobe lately is shifting from sweaters to shirts. Jeans anchor almost every outfit I wear lately so tops are what’s adding personality. I’m making the effort to move away from lounge mode by adding pieces with soft structuring or quiet detailing. The relaxed shirt above from Acne Studios is a good option. It also comes in a pretty blue.

This is me as well right now. Recently found ‘A Shirt Story‘ through Jennifer Alfono’s blog ‘The Flair Index’. They repurpose and upcycle men’s cotton shirts. The collar and cuffs are reworked and frayed and new Swarovski crystal buttons are added. I have already purchased two and love them.

Thanks for the share. How is the sizing?

I am usually a size 2-4 or small in shirts and I ordered both in “small oversized fit” and there is room to spare, but I like my shirts on the loose side.

I love wearing shirts and agree with Gail on Jennifer’s story. Such a great idea and will definitely shop that site. Here’s the main issue I have with cotton shirts in the summer…laundering. Sure, you can put them through on “gentle”, maybe in a bag, hang them to dry and they still look slept in. I always end up wearing t-shirts because they don’t wrinkle and they stay relatively fresh throughout the day. Anyone have any ideas?
