Warm days and evenings, open beaches, and dining al fresco all cue to the summer mood in the air. More than ever, I’m excited to welcome a seasonal change and bring out the summer staples. Hello to the warm tones of wicker, pretty soft florals, healthy recipes, and fresh fragrances to bring the outdoors in.
I’m starting with the Oiseau Candle from Tory Burch. The woodsy green scent with notes of basil, tarragon, fig, and cypress is right up my alley. It doesn’t hurt that the handpainted stoneware vessel is a keeper long after the candle has burned through. Available for pre-order, this would be a beautiful hostess gift too, meaning I’m stocking up on a few!
I love the simple, understated chic of Brother Vellies Nusa box clutch. A multitasking gem, it would look just as lovely included in a table vignette as it would paired with a summer-ready outfit.
We’ve been going through bottles of hand soap so fast lately, which is actually great. Replenishing often gives me the opportunity to experiment with new brands and scents. My current obsession is Eau d’italie. With my wanderlust in high gear, it’s just what I need to mentally transport me to Hotel Le Sirenuse on the Italian coast.
We’ve (actually my boys) have been making all sorts of vegetarian bowls lately. I think I’ll task them to make the Raw Vegan Tacos with Cilantro Lime Dressing from nutritionist Elissa Goodman. Doesn’t it look like the perfect light meal to enjoy on a warm summer day or evening?
The pretty, delicate floral pattern adds loads of charm to Tory Burch’s reversible sunhat (above far right). Sadly sold out online, I’m hoping I can track it down in one of the Tory Burch retail stores. Other styles equally pretty include this canvas packable hat in a ticking stripe, a quilted floral print from Love Shack Fancy, and Zimmermann’s reversible paisley bucket hat.
