It may be the last week of June but we’ve yet to have any summer heat. June gloom is real in southern California so sweaters are still being pulled from the shelf, especially for cool mornings and evenings. Layered over a tee or tank then pairing with shorts is the way to go. Speaking of shorts, I’m thrilled with the variety of styles available this year and will snap up a few in my preferred longer length. A casual flip flop elevated in leather and a pair of recycled gold hoop earrings complete a look I’ll have on rotation for weeks to come.
We tend to eat a vegetarian diet so I’m always looking for new creative, tasty recipes. For my son’s birthday over the weekend, he requested the popular Macro Bowl from Café Gratitude. They no longer have a location near us, so I created it using the recipe from their cookbook published earlier this year. It was incredibly easy and the delicious Tahini dressing will be a staple in our refrigerator.

Thank you so much for linking to a site other than Amazon for the book! Beautiful summer outfit.

You’re welcome. My first choice would be to purchase the book from my local book store.

Could you do a post on shorts. I find that to be possibly the most difficult item to navigate at 54. Too long and you look frumpy. Too short, and you look ridiculous. I think 7″-9″ inseam is best for me, but it’s difficult to find that length!!

I agree. They are difficult to get right. I’ll put something together.
