With little change on the horizon for the next few months, dressing for fall will be simple. It’s still all about comfort, but I’m planning on elevating outfits with pieces that add a little punch. Sneakers will take a backseat to the loafers collecting dust in my closet. Even if my outings consist of a run to the market, I want to get a little more dressed. I’m tired of merely glancing at items in my closet I love and could be wearing. A fresh rotation of shoes and bags will add a jolt of energy to my everyday outfits.

Loving all the loafers. The white pair with black soles styled with the sheer socks are my absolute favorite!

I love that look too! I’ll be dusting off my white Celine loafer with black sole!

I totally agree! I was in London in February and bought a Bottega Veneta cassette bag and it has been sitting in its dust bag since. Time to wear it! Even to the grocery store! The Tod’s loafers and a must have for me.

Tods have always served me well. Great quality and comfort.

I have an old patent leather/rubber sole Tod’s that are still in great condition and have been my go-to rain shoe. But I’m definitely going for an upgrade with the Tod’s you posted!

Hi Karima!
I am on the hunt for a new pair of fall/winter jeans. I am turning 50 this year and the “trendier” styles don’t really work for me anymore. Do you have any suggestions for a “go to” pair that I can wear dressed up or down with sweaters or blazers and with loafers or dress boots? Thanks as always for your flawless style and beautiful posts :)
Karima
Thank you! For a slim straight pair, I like Mother Denim the Dazzler. I have it in several washes and it is my go to jean. For a loose fit but straight cut, I like SLVRLKE the London style.

Love your idea about giving the sneakers a rest. Also can you please share info on those great stools in the photo? Thank you!
Karima
Moira…the stools are vintage. I bought them over 20 years ago and upholstered them in a Kathryn Ireland linen. I tend to hold on to things!

For good reason! Like your post today – your style and eye are timeless. Thank you!
