A few things I love and one on its way:
- I’ve tried a dozen different masks and have finally settled on this one from Uniqlo. It’s incredibly comfortable and I don’t feel like I’m suffocating in it. Plus it’s one of the few masks and I’ve worn that sits close to my face without gaps. Made from Uniqlo’s triple layer Airism technology, the masks are sized, come in a pack of three, and are machine washable. I wear a medium and my boys and husband wear a large.
- I feel bare without something on my lips. Balms are great but I like a a swipe of color for a more finished look. Beautycounter Color Lip Intense is my latest go to. It stays on, hydrates and best of all is clean. I get mine here.
- Shaking up the uniform with the slightest tweak is enough to give it a fresh vibe. I’ve been swapping out my sneakers for Clarks Originals Wallabees. They’re comfortable from the get go, and sort of go with everything. There’s a reason the iconic style has stood the test of time.
- Years ago, I had an amazing dark denim pencil skirt. My favorite way to wear it was with a crisp white poplin shirt tucked in and a heeled shoe. (Today, I’d pair with my Clarks.) So basic and chic. Somewhere along the way, it didn’t survive a closet purge and was let go. I’ve missed it and am hoping this option from Chloe performs as well as the old one.

Karima, I’ve read about Beautycounter and I’m interested in their products. Have you used their skincare line? Any products that you would recommend?

I like the Countertime Radiance Serum!

I remember wearing wallabies to school as a kid… I love those but is that old adage true that if you wore it the first time you can’t wear it when it comes back in style?
Karima
That adage seems more appropriate with items that are clearly trends. Classics and iconic pieces may go in and out of popularity but when they resurface don’t feel out of place. And it’s all how they’re styled that makes them feel timeless yet modern.

I think it simply isn’t. Why should it be? Or the third time, if you like. A chic look is a chic look. Unless you’re wearing something inappropriate for your body type, there should be no problem at all. You can wear it the third time around if you like. Or the fourth.
