Fabulous silhouettes, amazing craftsmanship, beautiful styling – just a few of the things that come to mind from the Hermès Fall 2021 collection. The embroidered, smocked plisse dresses above are beyond spectacular. But looking at the silhouettes in their pure form and how they’re styled is what inspires me most.
I’m going to continue celebrating belted dresses and don’t see tiring of the look anytime soon. But this is a moment for refinement with the beauty of a simple buckle making a statement on quiet luxury. A close up on the tall boots reveal a perfectly seamed front adding a note of elegance with restrained craftsmanship. More details I love from this Hermès collection include a fine knit mock turtleneck sweater (carried over from previous seasons – now a staple) layered with a substantial necklace. It’s a pairing that modernizes every look.
If you have a chance to watch the three part show (here), I’m curious if you’ll also fall in love with the monochrome brown outfits worn by the dancers in Act One like I did. A pared back version of the runway looks, I’d wear any of those pieces in a heartbeat.

Simply stunning. Just wish I could afford it! Perhaps a new Rouge instead.

A new rouge for starters. Maybe a belt, or the chain/leather necklace…or the boots? Now I’m getting ahead of myself!

Oh goodness, those dresses are sublime! And I love the part leather-part chain necklaces too. Thanks for sharing.

The details are so good!
