The COS summer campaign is a reminder of the stores cool take on core basics. I decided to inject my closet with a fresh round up of classic neutrals, specifically tops and bottoms. Trousers have been on my radar and I kept my focus on everyday style. An ecru pleated linen pant has a great fit (also in navy) and a black tapered trouser is elevated enough to wear straight through evening. A pair of easy pull on shorts serves multiple purposes with a tank, sweater or unstructured jacket. I also got a pair in navy. The linen tank is a great fit and looks more polished than one in cotton. At $25, I picked up all three colors. Texture adds interest to three of these great, versatile tops – a crochet knit vest, embroidered poplin shirt and terry cloth pullover.

One of the things I like about COS (this is not a sponsored post) is the minimalist style that works well with other brands. The sophisticated silhouettes have a the look of upscale designers at a fraction of the price.

Totally agree with you on COS – I have been a fan since the label started back in 2007 – I still own a couple of pieces that are 10 years old! Always my go to for stylish staples, quality is great and price point perfect.

Hello Karin,
Love your blog.
Recently purchased the Red Valentino leather jacket you featured on sale at My Theresa. Wonder about fit? I ordered a 40 not sure if it’s too small in the arms. I know it’s a shorter sleeve length but curious about how you feel in it.
