I have a treasure box of tear sheets from old magazines saved before transitioning to full digital. I’ve been going through them and find more inspiration from the editorials years ago (above and below 2010) than the majority of the stories created today. Call me old fashioned, but I liked when a fashion magazine was about fashion.
On that note, I’m looking back and saving these looks to my Fall Inspiration Notes, which I’ll continue to update throughout the season. I’m covered with black pullovers, loafers and brogues, but a mid-length A-line skirt would be a great addition to my closet.

Cheers to fashion magazines being about fashion! What has happened to their content? It seems to all be driven (unfortunately) by celebrity culture. So unfortunate.

I too have many pages saved from magazines. So many I have them in binders. It’s always fun to look through them. Finally had to stop the urge to tear! Your pics are wonderful, those skirts are so elegant and feel timeless!
Thank you for sharing

I too have tear pages dating back 1982 to current. When I have the time (should have done this during all the various lockdowns!), will painstakingly load them up on pin interest. I would love to have some form of digital footprint of my fashion inspiration/ taste over the last 30 years or so.

I love, love, love mid-length a-line skirts. I have a light grey suede one I bought 20 years ago that is still going strong. Looks best with a black turtleneck (with elbow length sleeves). I fully support this look for the fall!
