An unexpected splash of color is on the menu for my wardrobe. I’ll introduce an interesting new hue in the way of a cool new bag or shoe. Worn with the neutral, black, and white story that dominates my closet, a bright color will inject a sense of newness to everything. It’s a simple move with a big impact.
I’ve had my eye on Bottega Venetta’s Cassette bag (prefer the leather strap padded) since it was first introduced by Daniel Lee in the Fall 2019 collection. I’m glad I didn’t get it then in black because I’m ready to amp up it up in this mallard blue. It’s an exceptional color that looks beautiful with both spring and fall palettes. Somehow, it goes with everything. Pale blue is a close second.
Will follow up with colorful shoes soon.

Multiple years ago, I wanted to purchase a BV bag and couldn’t decide on the color, but was intrigued by a color they were calling Marine Blue. The young woman at my local shop sent me a pic of her holding the bag. She just happened to be wearing black that day and I was sold. Really happy I bought before they changed up the styling too. I also have a red suede Tod’s bag that gets a lot of use as well.

I’ve been loving my colorful bags lately. I started collecting smaller styles years ago because they gave me a nice option when going out for dinner. Now, I’m obsessed.

When I want to inject color I go for wine/burgundy. Consider it a neutral since it looks great with everything.

Agree!

I have this bag in the green color and love it. It is small so its a great bag when you just need a few things. I bought it in London last year just before the shutdown so it has not been used much. I too like the leather strap. I would not have bought it if the only strap option was the chain. Here’s to brighter days with brighter bags!

I liked the bag until I tried it on in the boutique, then I LOVED it. It’s very comfortable and lightweight. I downsized my purse content years ago so the size shouldn’t be a problem for the occasions I’d use it. The green is gorgeous too!

I love this bag but returned it because it was too small to use regularly
Barbara
the bag is beautiful, but it looks a bit fragile, like the leather will split easily.
Karima
It looks more durable in person.
