A friend gave me Chanel’s Le Rouge Duo Ultra Tenue liquid lipstick with high praise for its non-drying, long lasting color. My experience with liquid lipsticks and stains has always been disappointing resulting in either spotty color or overly parched lips. That changed with Chanel’s formulation. After receiving a pale, soft pink (#57), I purchased two more colors in the same rose family with more intensity. They proved themselves worthy with a weekend full of events and barely a reapplication of color…and zero dryness. Don’t be mislead by the photos on the Chanel site if like me, you don’t like a glossy look. I just dab a tiny amount of the clear gloss on top of the pigmented base coat in the middle of my lips for a little softness and sheen.
Now I’m trying to decide on the perfect red. Ever Red #49 looks like a great option.

I wear 154 Intense Caramel and 48 Soft Rose. The gloss contributes to the comfort of this product, and you can achieve a satin sheen (even though I love gloss!). The Rouge Dior Forever liquid is also quite comfortable, and it makes a long-lasting base, especially if you like to top or layer lip products. We routinely wear masks in my region, and it is nice to have a lip color that stays put.
